There are strong parallels between Native Americans and Jews. Both groups have lived in exile; Jews show that it is possible for a native people to return to their native land and revive their ancestral language, even after thousands of years. “I admire the people who” take a stand: the people of Israel, they are a people who stand up to defend their homeland.”

In 1975, Billy Graham gave an iconic speech at a conference on Indian evangelism, saying to Native American leaders, “You are a sleeping giant, the original American. You are now awakening. Just around the corner, you may become a spiritual superpower in this country that could change not only America, but the world.” I was 5 years old when he made this declaration. I’m ready to play my part in changing the world.
I recently watched a documentary by Greg Miller called “Awakened.” The film highlights how Graham’s predictions are beginning to come true. The film follows s handful of Native American pastors and evangelists, who share their prophetic visions. This documentary touches on the revival of our Native American people rising with one voice for Jesus. Very well made film.

Greg shares numerous interviews with leaders of the Tribal Nations across North America, and within each voice one unified message emerges: the “First Americans” have been awakened to the truth and power of Yeshua Jesus Christ and God is on the move within our people.
Quincy Goodstar, pastor of The Miracle Center in South Dakota mentions this, “We have been the last to break in to higher education and on our reservations, suicide is off the charts. We suffer addictions, alcoholism, and even poverty–but there is a grace, an undeserved favor, that is attracted to the last, lost and the least. And now, the First Nations people have been given a message, they have awakened to the righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ.”
“The last shall be first,” Jesus tells his disciples. Awakened chronicles these native leaders voices saying “it is time for OUR People to move from the last to the first as spiritual leaders that can change the world. This inheritance is made possible through the power of forgiveness—forgiving the white man who took land and stripped our identity, forgiving the early missionaries who cared more about conforming our ancestors to white culture than the truth of the gospel, even forgiving those who still misjudge and ostracize our Native Indian culture and traditions.”
So what is our call? According film director Greg Miller, “If all of the things being stated in the film are true… if we believe that the things Billy Graham stated 45 years ago are coming to fruition right now… then getting behind this movement and inspiring our First American families and tribes to take OUR place by sharing “Jesus” is arguably the single-most important thing we can do as Believers!”
On October 21st, 2016 many First Nations from all over North America met together in Washington DC to join for a special ceremony to forgive the U.S. Government for its broken treaties. What a huge step toward reconciling our hearts.

Chief Negiel Bigpond, was the primary co-ordinator for the event in 2016 his goal during this event was to forgive the U.S. whether it was asked for it or not, simply because First Nations do not want our country to suffer the consequences of this any longer. This is one of the most noble acts of true Christian charity by any people.”
“There is something to say about people who always pray; One who overcomes things in a great way. The authority that is carried is strong! I’m asking you to pray for a mighty move of GOD. It’s time and all know that this is GOD’S timing, not man’s.”

“What a beautiful day that must have been back in 2016 when all the tribes gathered the All Tribes Gathering in Washington DC.
“In our Holy Scripture, breaking a vow or treaty brought a curse on the land, and the U.S. Government broken every treaty it made with the Native American tribes. “

Hebrew word for covenant is brit ( בְּרִית ), meaning covenant, pact, or treaty.
“With smooth words he will seduce those who act wickedly against the covenant, but the people who know their God will stand strong and prevail.”

During this event back in 2016, senior pastor of New Life Christian Church in Hogansburg NY, Willie Jock, made a public declaration entitled:
“The Power to Forgive”
“We the people, the Host people of this Great Nation and the original lovers of this land, stand united with one heart and mind to bring the power of forgiveness to bear. As the Host People of Turtle Island, we forgive every atrocity and broken covenant ever designed to destroy us as a race of people. We break every curse, and renounce every lie, purposed to decimate us as human beings. We forgive the government, the Church, and the educational system for the use of residential schools that attempted to destroy our culture and silence our voice as people by stealing our language.
We stand in the gap for those who are unable or unwilling to forgive, and call upon the Master of Life, to forgive us for harboring un-forgiveness, resentment, hatred, bitterness and rage; We repent of every curse spoken over America by our ancestors and we release the power of forgiveness to bring healing and the peace of Creator God to this land.
We declare and decree that our voice will no longer be silenced and that this nation and the world will hear our voice as we speak life and blessings over the Americas and the world.
We stand in faith believing that our citizenship lies in heaven, and we too, all await the return of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Being all of one mind and heart, having compassion for one another, we declare our love as brothers; not returning evil for the evil perpetuated against us, but on the contrary we choose to release a blessing, knowing that the Father of us all has called us as his children to bless and not curse, that we may inherit a blessing.
Amen.”
